• Account info: username, email address, and password (stored in encrypted/hashed form by our authentication provider).
• Profile info: the school you choose, your bio, and any profile photo you upload.
• Content: your takes, calls, comments, votes, and any images you post.
• Communications: messages you send to us (e.g., reports or support emails).

When you use the Service, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, app version, and basic usage and log data. If you use our mobile app, we may collect a device push token so we can send you notifications (you can turn these off in your device settings).

• To create and operate your account and provide the Service.
• To display your content, calls, receipts, and reputation, which are public by design.
• To grade calls, run leaderboards, and send you notifications about activity.
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• To respond to your requests and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

• Publicly: your username, school, profile, and content are visible to others by design — that’s the point of being “on the record.”
• Service providers: companies that help us run the Service, such as our hosting provider (Vercel), our database/authentication/storage provider (Supabase), and our email provider (Resend). They may process data only on our behalf.
• Legal & safety: when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of OnRecord and its users.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We use third-party sports data (e.g., from ESPN) to power scores and lines; we do not send your personal information to those data sources.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you logged in and to operate the Service. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in.

Because OnRecord is built around a permanent record, your public content and graded calls may remain visible even if you stop using the Service. We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data, except where we must retain it by law.

• Access & update: view and edit your profile in Settings.
• Delete: delete your account from Settings, or email support@onrecord.gg.
• Notifications: manage notification preferences in the app and on your device.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact us to exercise them.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

OnRecord is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact support@onrecord.gg and we will delete it.

OnRecord is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the U.S. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and handled in the U.S.

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Policy.
